Where to Start
“My husband and I are from Ohio, and we moved to middle-of-nowhere Texas for a job opportunity where my husband was an engineer at an oil and gas company. I decided to get my real estate license while we were there in hopes of being able to flip houses. But, as I said, we were in the middle of nowhere, so the opportunity was limited. A family friend posted on Facebook that he was starting a home building business in Charlotte and needed investors. I told my husband that the dogs and I were moving to Charlotte, and he was more than welcome to stay or join us. He decided to join us and start his own home building company!
We moved to Charlotte in 2015, and, finally, in 2018, while I was working full-time, I decided to take classes on the weekend and received my RE license in the fall of 2018.”
