Shonn Ross has lived in the Charlotte urban setting since 1992. Having worked in the real estate legal field, he entered into a real estate sales career in 1994. Always specializing in the in-towns neighborhoods, he first worked with a couple of the areas mid-sized firms, and then forming his own real estate brokerage with two partners in 1996, Mills/Ross Realty. Shortly afterwards he bought out his two partners and kept the name until he merged with a new partner to create Savvy + Co. Real Estate.

“My husband and I have to thank Savvy for our beautiful new home! We moved to Charlotte last year and knew very little outside of uptown. This was our first single family home purchase and we wanted to thoroughly explore all neighborhoods and types of homes before making this huge decision. We spent the first couple months exploring on our own, then over the next 10 months we enlisted the help of professionals in an attempt to find our dream home. In order to do that we knew we needed to find a realtor we were 110% comfortable with. For the first four months we experienced realtors who were clearly just telling us what they thought we wanted to hear with some outright lying to us (feigning knowledge) and others who just wanted us to buy a place even if it wasn’t right for us. After 6/+ realtors, we finally received a solid referral from a colleague who used Savvy for his home purchase. We called up Shonn Ross who is the co-owner at Savvy + Co, and described what we were looking for and the neighborhoods we were most interested in. My husband and I can always tell immediately if we like someone and after the first viewing, we got into the car en route to the next viewing and instantly agreed we both liked Shonn. Shonn is genuine, extremely knowledgeable and experienced, and definitely helped to set expectations. He immediately started looking at homes meeting our description and he was able to help us refine and commit to what we were looking for. Shonn would proactively reach out to us at the beginning of the week and let us know his availability for the upcoming weekend to look at some homes, and if we ever wanted to see a house at the last minute, Shonn would usually make the time if he didn’t have any prior commitments. In the end, Shonn came across a new listing, took several photos of the interior and showed us these photos at our next meeting which convinced us to go look at it immediately. A week or so later we began our closing procedures! Shonn and his closing coordinator (Molly) were always available throughout the closing process, promptly answering any of our questions, making sure we received the right documents, meeting us at the house for our inspections or just to view the house again, and following up MANY times with the listing agent and other 3rd parties involved in the closing process to ensure we had all our bases covered. We admittedly consider ourselves “high maintenance” and Shonn and Molly exceeded our expectations. They continue to be helpful after we closed on our home providing guidance and contacts to help with the “new home” issues we’ve encountered since moving in. Shonn’s personable and honest approach truly made us feel comfortable and confident throughout the entire home buying process.
